Juan C. Justiniano’s speech, “Accents,” is about how Toastmasters helps him in his profession and in everyday life, as someone who speaks English as a second language.
Speaking from the advanced manual on public relations, Juan shares some of the things about English that make it tricky, the challenges of communicating with an accent, and the value of learning to communicate clearly despite that. “We all have the ability to get better, and to improve,” he says. “This is the place to do it — Club Awesome. We all have our challenges, but we all have the ability to be great communicators.”
