Welcome to Club Awesome Toastmasters.
Club Awesome was chartered as Club 2445 on April 1, 1974. Though it was no April Fool’s Day prank, the club was founded to give people in northwest Broward County a place to develop their public speaking, communication, and leadership skills. Some long-standing members recall how Club Awesome actually got its name. While meeting under the original name of Club 2445, some members began to extol, “We are Awesome.” Before long, the name Club Awesome stuck.
You may be interested to know that Club Awesome meets every Friday morning from 7-8:30 a.m. at The Country Club of Coral Springs, located at 10800 W. Sample Road, Coral Springs. Our group is made up of people from diverse professional backgrounds. We typically have 20 or more dedicated members in attendance to hone their communication skills. Club Awesome is a community club, and we welcome visitors and potential new members at all meetings.
There are numerous benefits you need to know about joining Toastmasters. First, it’s about learning and polishing your skills as a public speaker. You’ll learn the art of speaking, the art of listening, and the art of thinking on your feet. Second, it’s about participating in a club that encourages your leadership skills.
